How to Draw Men & Women
The following attributes are commonly associated with
the female body when comparing its general structure to
that of the male figure. Although general proportions
are essentially the same, important differences include
the hips, shoulders, and over all size of the body
structure. It is important to have a basic understanding
of these differences however you will find that
observation of one's subject is the only way to
accurately render the proportions, shapes and
positioning of human body parts, despite gender.
Females commonly have:

- Less muscular definition
- Rounder, softer edges to their figures
- Narrower shoulders

- Slightly lower navel
- Larger breasts
- Wider hips
- Smaller jaws
- Narrower necks
- Smaller ankles/wrists
- Wider thighs
- Smaller calves
- Wider, fuller buttocks, positioned slightly lower on
the body
- Smaller hands
- Smaller feet
