Finding Inspiration for Drawing
Inspiration comes and goes no matter how passionate you are about drawing. Although there is no shortage of skills to practice and subjects to sketch, some days are simply more difficult than others to muster up the motivation needed to work at your craft. To help you combat these temporary setbacks, I suggest putting up a bulletin board or dedicating a certain area of your workspace to photos, artwork and other images that you have found inspiring at one point in time. Motivational articles related to being an artist are also handy to refresh yourself with when you need a little reminder. It can also be really helpful to display your work at varying stages of completion to remind yourself of the progress you have been making. Finally, two staples I swear by are good music of a diverse nature to help set the mood for the piece you're working on and good strong coffee to get the engines fired up!
