Creating Depth with Diagonals

A composition that includes a diagonal of some sort, whether that be a river, mountain range, road, or fence naturally leads the eye towards the background, enhancing the focus on depth. Do not forget objects must diminish in size as they recede into the distance to achieve the effect of depth. Also note that the diagonals can change direction but a new vanishing point must accompany each change of direction in order to gradually reduce sizing proportionately.
