How to Draw a Back & Neck
When it comes to the body, the spine acts as the axis of symmetry. It also plays a key role in illustrating the gesture of the figure, indicated by the manner in which it curves. This trait is particularly telling when viewed from behind.
The neck is also inherently expressive and whenever
possible should be shown breaking from the symmetry of
the spine for this very reason.
